Looking at the finished painting and the reference photograph i can tell that my version is much lighter in overall tone. I do not know if i like it this way but will leave it the way i saw it when i was painting. I am persuaded that “alla prima” method is the way to go. Only “here and now” is the correct and real vision of the artist. When an artist adds/changes something afterwards diminishes the artwork’s value in my perspective.
