The lake house

There is something simply congenial in the lake houses. They exist to bring peace, relaxation and enjoyment in the union with the nature. The reference photograph pictures the state of Oregon. To me is it very Minnesotan 🙂

 

I started with a light blue underpainting and a simple sketch:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you are curious here is how my workplace looked like today:

When the sketch was done I could continue with the trees and the reflections on water. The lake’s surface did not have even the slightest water movements and this made it simple to create the glass-like surface.
